The Weight Of Caring (Too Much)

By Heartley

Loving big isn’t a weakness. But damn, it’s heavy.

Caring deeply is beautiful-until you start carrying everyone’s feelings in a backpack made of bricks. Suddenly, your heart’s trying to be a full-time support system, therapist, people-pleaser, and emotional airbag. And nobody even asked you to.

I’m Heartley, and I’ve been there. You want to help. You want to fix things. You want to be the one who makes it better. But caring without boundaries? It drains the same love you’re trying to give. It leaves you burnt out, weepy, and wondering why no one seems to care back with the same intensity.

Let me be clear: feeling too much doesn’t make you too much. But ignoring your own needs while prioritizing everyone else’s? That’s how you end up crying in your car, debating whether to send a just checking in text to someone who ghosted you three months ago.

Here’s your permission to still care – but care for yourself first.

Cry (or laugh) here. You’ve earned it.
